The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is hosting at upcoming virtual event, “Online Gambling: The Stakes for Public Health” on January 23, 2025, at 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EST.
A panel of experts will examine the forces driving the rise of online gambling, the emotional, health and economic harms of problem gambling, and how policy change and treatment reduce the burden.
Panelists include Victor Ortiz, Timothy Fong, Lia Nower, and Shekhar Saxena.
The Massachusetts Center of Excellence for Problem Gambling Prevention (MCOE) is leading a training on the “Intersections of Substance Misuse and Problem Gambling Prevention” on January 28, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST.
The training will explore the complex relationship between problem gambling and substance use disorders and will provide collaborative strategies for a path forward.
