The Power of Youth: Massachusetts Photovoice Project

The Massachusetts Photovoice Project provides young people the opportunity to use the Photovoice method to explore underage gambling and related public health issues in their community.

Youth use their learning from the Photovoice process to identify a problem in their community, learn about the root causes, and identify possible solutions.

Each year, vendors hosts two community-based events:

• The Caregiver Education Session provides an opportunity for youth to showcase to their caregivers the skills and knowledge they acquired throughout the Photovoice Project.

• The Community Exhibition unveils the youth photographers to the community and provides them an opportunity to present their work.
