Every year, the Massachusetts Public Health Alliance honors leaders who are making a meaningful difference in communities across the Commonwealth. One of these honors, the Community Leadership Award, recognizes exceptional dedication, impact, and partnership in improving community health. This year, we are thrilled to congratulate one of our vendors, the Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers (MACHW), as the 2025 Community Leadership Award recipient!
Founded in 2000, MACHW became the first professional organization for Community Health Workers (CHWs) in the nation. Built by CHWs and for CHWs, MACHW works at both the state and national levels to strengthen the profession, expand leadership opportunities, and ensure CHWs have the training and support they need to help their communities thrive. Today, MACHW’s membership includes more than 1,500 CHWs across Massachusetts, serving as a statewide hub for connection, learning, and collective action toward health equity.
Congratulations to MACHW! Your leadership is helping create a healthier, more connected, and more equitable Massachusetts.
