OPGS is excited to host its annual conference on May 20, 2026, in Springfield, MA! This year’s theme, “Equity in Action,” celebrates ten years of community partnership and the many choices that have shaped the state’s approach to addressing problem gambling.
The conference will bring together community members, service providers, researchers, and others committed to reducing harms associated with problem gambling. It’s a chance for people to learn from one another, share what’s working, and spark new ideas for supporting individuals, families, and communities across the Commonwealth.
Throughout the day, participants can look forward to sessions that center on equity, engagement, and empowerment, along with stories and insights from individuals with lived experience. The conference will also highlight community-driven programs and culturally grounded practices that are shaping the field. In addition, attendees will have the chance to visit resource tables and hear from featured speakers, including state and community leaders such as Representative Carlos Gonzalez, Senator Adam Gómez, Dr. Bisola Ojikutu, Dr. Haner Hernández, and OPGS Director Victor Ortiz, along with workshops led by practitioners, researchers, and youth leaders from organizations across the Commonwealth.
